At Sir Harry's, we are always keen to support our local community. In July 2018, our school council donated toys, books, colouring pens and blankets to Zomba Central Hospital Children's Ward, using some of the money raised from our Sponsored Swim.
In July 2018 our Secondary students organised a Film Night. They raised K70,000 for medication for the patients of Matawale Clinic.
In June 2018, Mr Christopher Jana (the Mayor of Zomba) was the guest of honour at our Secondary School Block Official Opening Ceremony.
In June 2018, we had a visit from Mission Rabies. They talked to our children about how to stay safe around animals.
At Sir Harry's we offer a Business and Enterprise Club for our Secondary Students (run by one of our Alumni). The club members have been working in groups developing a business plan to raise money for a charity of their choice. In June 2018, they had to present their bids to local business leaders, with the aim of receiving funding for their proposals. They did excellent presentations and each group was awarded up to K30,000 for their projects.
In March 2018, our Netball Team played a match against Mponda School. This was good preparation for the International Schools Tournament.
In February 2018, our Football Team played against Mponda School. It was a very close match and the final score was 2-2.
In February 2018, our Primary Football and Netball Team played a match against Zomba Private. They showed great determination.
At Sir Harry's we are keen to build close links with local schools within our area. In December 2017, 100 children from Mponda and Zomba Baptist School came along to watch our dress rehearsal of Treasure Island.
